EXTERNAL STEPS

Where entrance steps are worn or damaged, replacements/patching should match the original stone as closely as possible.

It may be possible to turn the existing stone step to reveal an unworn surface which may negate the need for repairs. If stone is not available, a plain material, such as tinted granolithic, should be used. Tiles or terrazzo finishes are not suitable.
Handrails should not be replaced by masonry walls.
