AdviceGUTTERS AND DOWNPIPESWhere gutters or downpipes are corroded, replacements on elevations exposed to view should be made of cast iron matching the original in profile, style and fixings. Care should be taken with concealed gutters to ensure that roof timbers and wall heads are well protected against water penetration. The same considerations apply to pipes, vents and flues installed in connection with central heating. Where possible this plumbing should be contained internally. Any external pipes to be located to the rear and "painted out". |
